We have gathered together a selection of Books that we feel would help you continue your exploration of NLP and the performance improvements it can bring.

The Structure of Magic Vol 1
by Richard Bandler and John Grinder.

The best way to describe this NLP book is to present the quotes from Virgina Satir, Gregory Bateson, and Milton Erickson, MD

"It would be hard for me to write this preface without my own feeling of excitement, amazement and thrill coming through. What Richard Bandler and John Grinder have done is to watch the process of change over time and distill from it the patterns of 'how' process.

The Structure of Magic Vol 2
by Richard Bandler and John Grinder.

This is the next NLP volume to follow "The Structure of Magic I". In Volume I, Bandler & Grinder stated, "We intend to present a more complete and refined representation of reference structures and the specific mechanisms which map them into the various representational systems which humans use (i.e., the Deep Structures of language) in "The Structure of Magic II.

Frogs into Princes
by Richard Bandler.

One of the earlier NLP books! Eye accessing, and more!!

Patterns of Hypnotic Techniques of Milton H. Erickson Vol 1
by Richard Bandler and John Grinder.

Of Volume I, Dr. Erickson wrote, "Although this NLP book by Richard Bandler and John Grinder, to which I am contributing this Preface, is far from being a complete description of my methodolgies (as they clearly state), it is a much better explanation of how I work than I myself can give."

Patterns of Hypnotic Techniques of Milton H. Erickson Vol 2
by Richard Bandler and John Grinder.

In Volume II, Grinder and Bandler, with their co-author, Judith DeLozier, extended their NLP modeling skills from verbal patterning in hypnosis to nonverbal communication. In integrating the verbal and nonverbal portions of hypnotic communication, the authors examine the legendary skill Dr. Erickson has in engaging in multilevel communication with patients.

Persuasion Engineering
by Richard Bandler

For many years now, the single most important professionals in the world have been ignored by our educational institutions: Sales. Combining NLP & Design Human Engineering™, Richard Bandler's latest discoveries in the field of human development, the success patterns that he has been teaching for years in Neuro-Linguistic Programming™ and John La Valle's applications in the business arena, Persuasion Engineering™ provides new insights into the selling process.

Magic in Action
by Richard Bandler

Magic in Action shows the ways in which Richard uses humour and speed to work with clients. It gives the layman an idea of what an NLP session should be like. He constantly jokes with clients about their problems in order to cure them of seriousness, which is what locks the model down. You get serious, you get stuck. humour is the fastest way to reverse this process. As soon as you can laugh about something, you can change it.

Insiders Guide to Submodalities
by Richard Bandler

An Insider's Guide to Submodalities, is a step-by-step NLP manual that enables you to use Submodalities to improve the quality of your own life and to assist others to make generative changes in their behaviour. Submodalities are the NLP component elements of representational systems: visual, auditory, kinesthetic, olfactory, and gustatory. We take information in from the external world using our five senses, and those same senses are utilized internally to process information. We see pictures, hear sounds and have feelings on the inside.

Time for a Change
by Richard Bandler

"Time for a Change" will give you new ways to do deeper, more effective hypnotic and belief work with yourself and clients using NLP & DHE. The light and entertaining style sustained throughout the book belies the density of the presentation. Robin Williams can fill any ordinary comic's repertoire in minutes. In much the same way, most writers would be happy to make a book from just one of these chapters. We imagine some will.

Using your brain for a change.
by Richard Bandler

The first NLP book written for Submodalities, this book took NLP to a new and faster paced level of personal change techniques.

It includes the fast phobia cure, and many other NLP techniques for your learning and personal enhancement.

The Adventures of Anybody.
by Richard Bandler

A pure, but not so very simple, fairy tale that weaves a hypnotic web. Delightfully illustrated and designed for all ages, this story is destined to take a place with great works of fiction, like "Alice in Wonderland", "Wind in the Willows", and other great works. But with one twist: Richard is not only a great storyteller, he is one the best, if not the greatest, hypnotic communicators to have ever lived. And in this story, you may find his skills as an agent of change impactful.

Our beliefs can shape, affect, or even determine our degree of intelligence, health, relationships, creativity, even our degree of happiness and personal success. Yet, if our beliefs are so powerful a force in our lives, how do we get control of them so they don't control us? Many of our beliefs were instilled in us as children by parents, teachers, social upbringing, and the media before we were aware of their impact or able to have a choice about them. Is it possible to restructure, unlearn, or change old beliefs that may be limiting us and imprint new ones that can expand our potential beyond what we currently imagine? If so, how do we do it?

Skills for the Future.
by Robert Dilts

The focus of this NLP book is on how the cognitive and behavioural technologies of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, NLP, may be used to develop and apply personal and organizational NLP learning strategies together with communication and leadership skills to manage the processes of creativity and innovation. The overall purpose of this NLP book is to provide models and tools for defining and managing the creative process on both micro and macro level.

Tools for Dreamers.
by Robert Dilts

The purpose of this book is to examine the structure and principles of creativity in order to enhance the creativity and productivity of individuals, teams, and organizations. The behavioural technology provided by Neuro-Linguistic Programming makes explicit the strategies and steps involved in the creative process on a number of different levels.

Magic of Rapport.
by Jerry Richardson

The Magic of Rapport is for anyone whose success, both personal and professional depends on his or her ability to influence other people. Managers, salespeople, teachers, counsellors, administrators and supervisors in all professions, advertising and public relations specialists as well as sales, marketing and other professionals will gain immeasurably from learning the strategies and techniques covered in this book. And so will those who seek more effective communication with partners, spouses, children and other family members. In short, everyone profits through NLP.

Timeline Therapy.
by Tad James

"Time Line Therapy and the Basis of Personality" is a NLP study of most of the important elements that make up a person's core personality. These include time line therapy (memory storage) meta programs, and values. Section I: Time Line Therapy. Utilizing discoveries by Richard Bandler, the authors have expanded and updated our knowledge of how people actually store their memories, and of the effect that the system a person uses for the storage of their memories has on the personality of the individual. The authors contend that the concepts of a time line, or the notion of time that you have stored in your mind, shapes and structures your experience of the world and therefore shapes your personality.

Therapeutic Metaphors.
by David Gordon

In this clearly written NLP volume, the author presents a straightforward model for constructing therapeutic metaphors; not only stories, but potent metaphorical communications that are capable of accessing and rallying your clients to use the personal resources they need to make the changes they want to make. Subsequent chapters integrate the NLP meta-model distinctions, Satir categories and representational systems (as already described by Richard Bandler, John Grinder, and Virginia Satir), as well as a new NLP pattern distinction called "sub-modalities," into the basic model.

Michael Durst had been collecting tidbits of advice, quotes, sayings from friends, etc. for quite a few years when someone suggested he put them together in a book. This book has resulted in one of the finest selections we have that is not based on NLP™.

The core of the book is based on accepting responsibility for oneself and is a great book for clients and others who want to learn about the importance of being responsible. Michael's style is humorous and pragmatic. The book is well illustrated and easy reading. We recommend it highly, even though it's not NLP.
